The journey begins at 8.30 on the dot and we are on the road to Cabo Da Roca, the western-most point in mainland Europe. All of our preparations are about to be put to the test. Will the equipment function smoothly? Will the meeting with our first sponsor go as planned? Everyone is tense. But the Liqui Moly Team is there with family to send us off at 9.00 and everything is running according to plan. Just a short detour to a beach in Lisbon in order to bottle some Atlantic water to take with us to the Pacific. A small, symbolic act that stands for our transcontinental tour in many ways. We head out of Lisbon on the famous suspension bridge and a short while later we leave Portugal. Later we discover a tiny deserted chapel in the middle of the desert-like Spanish plains…
